What does the story of Rabbi Eliezer ben Dordia teach us today? Find out by joining us for an engaging text study session of one of the most titillating passages found in the Talmud. As we study the text we’ll use social media tools like Twitter and Youtube to tap into our collective wisdom and stimulate a rousing discussion. This session deals with adult topics and themes and is not suitable for children. The session is also a great opportunity to learn more about how technology is shaping the way Judaism is experienced in the 21st century.

Pecha Kucha was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat", it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It's a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. Learn more about the Pecha Kucha phenomenon at www.pecha-kucha.org.
RSVP is requested to meredith@limmudphilly.org or 267.235.4083. There will be plenty of room for all. By the way, there is no charge for this Taste of Limmud event (donations are always welcome).
